Linear Algebra is a prerequisite. You have to know :
what is a linear equation,
what it means to solve it,
how to solve any system of linear equations.
This is needed for Linear Programming and will be tested.

Perpetual homework: read every section of the textbook before the corresponding class and do all exercises at the end of the section.
Your solutions to the exercises which are not done in the manual (more complicated ones
are solved in the manual, pdf )
to be submitted by email to vstein@math.psu.edu with homework number (e.g., h1) on the Subject line
by the noon of the next day after the class. Give details, not just an
answer. If you use books, computers, websites. etc. in your solutions,
give proper references.
If your homework is not in plain or rich text format, point out the format and include
your homework as an attachment.
Avoid
.docx format. Use white paper and black pen and check the result before
sending if scaning. Do not sent e-notes with size more than
1MB.
Any email concerning Math 484 should have Math 484.1 or Math
484.2 on the Subject line. If your name is not on the From line,
include it on the Subject line.
E.g., h1 with the exercises to
Section 1 is due by noon of August 24 and the subject line
should be Math 484.1 h1 or Math 484.2 h1.
