Perpetual homework: do all exercises in the textbook (more complicated ones are solved in the manual).

Quiz 1. Sept 9. 16 pts. 100% = 16 pts after the quiz.
x>0 is not a linear constraint.
0=1 is a linear equation. 0>= 1 is a linear constraint.

Homework 1:  § 3, Ex. 2,8,10,12. Four problems, 5 pts each.
Due Sept 16 in the beginning of the class.
100% = 43 pts after q2.

Homework 2 due Th Sept 25.
The exercises on p. 66 (5 pts for each problem which is not solved in the manual).

midterm 1 Th. Oct 2, 75 pts, § 1-8. Section 1; pic . Section 2; pic. 100% = 183 points.

midterm 2 Th Oct 23. Section 1: test | solutions | pic . Section 2: testsolutions | pic .

Just a reminder about the late drop deadline for the FA03 semester, November 19.

midterm 3 Th  Nov. 20 Section 1: test ps  with answers  pdf    | pic .
Section 2: test ps  with answers  pdf | pic .

Homework for bonus points given on Nov. 25. Solve the matrix game:

3 -2 7 -5 4
8 9 -2 3 1
4 6 8 3 4
-2 1 0 9 5
We have shown in class that   3.6 < = the value of game <=4.
The deadline Saturday, Dec. 6.
